Password Generator
A tool that creates random, high-entropy passwords meeting specified length and character requirements, eliminating the human tendency to choose predictable passwords.
A password generator creates random passwords using cryptographically secure random number generators. Users typically specify length and character set requirements (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols). The result is a password with maximum entropy for its length.
Humans are remarkably bad at creating random passwords. We use dictionary words, names, dates, keyboard patterns, and predictable substitutions: all of which attackers exploit. A 20-character randomly generated password is orders of magnitude more secure than any human-created password of the same length.
Team password managers include built-in generators, ensuring every new credential meets the organization’s strength requirements without relying on individual team members’ judgment.
