Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

A framework for managing an organization's governance, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance in a unified approach.

GRC integrates three critical business functions: Governance (policies and decision-making), Risk Management (identifying and mitigating threats), and Compliance (adhering to regulations and standards). A unified GRC approach ensures these functions work together rather than in silos.

GRC frameworks help organizations systematically address regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS), manage cybersecurity risks, and establish accountability structures. GRC tools provide dashboards for tracking compliance status, risk assessments, and policy adherence.

Credential management is a recurring theme across GRC: governance requires password policies, risk management identifies credential-related threats, and compliance mandates audit trails. A team password manager with logging and policy enforcement directly supports GRC objectives.
